Héctor Berenguel del Pino (born 11 October 1974), simply Héctor, is a retired Spanish footballer who played as a right or central defender.
In a 16-year professional career, he appeared in 162 La Liga games (no goals), mainly in representation of Deportivo de La Coruña (five seasons). He added 111/9 in Segunda División.
Born in Almería, Andalusia, Héctor started playing with local Polideportivo Almería, in the third division, moving in 1995 to another side in the category, Elche CF, and achieving promotion two years later.
After Elche got relegated the immediate season after, he returned to his native region and joined Sevilla FC: an everpresent fixture during his three-season tenure, he achieved two top level promotions, netting a career-high five goals in 2000–01, but also experienced relegation. His first match in the main division came on 22 August 1999, in a 2–1 home win against Real Sociedad.
Héctor moved to Deportivo de La Coruña after the Galicians' league conquest, and proceeded to be relatively used, helping the side to the 2002 domestic cup. In 2006, he signed with RCD Mallorca, where he managed 29 league appearances in 2007–08, retiring after helping the Balearic Islands team to a final 7th place.
In the summer 2009, Héctor returned again to his region, taking charge of CD Roquetas' youth ranks.
